S.C. Lucier is an SDC director and former member of the SCDF Observership Class of emerging directors. "Luci" graduated magna cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College's Theater Directing program where she received the department's Gold Key of Excellence for her work in "innovative storytelling techniques."
Work includes: Associate Director of Kerrigan-Lowdermilk’s new immersive musical, "The Bad Years," in both of its iterations; Director of "HELD: A Musical Fantasy" by Kelly Maxwell and Meghan Rose for both productions at NYC Fringe 2016 and NYMF 2018; Director for multiple productions of Hip to Hip Theater's outdoor Shakespeare series; Director of the world-premier of Steve Romagnoli's play, "Skip to My Lou" at Theatre for the New City; Director of experimental Beckett at The Brick Theater as part of the Bushwick Open Studios; Associate Director for projects explored by The Bring About, a collective Artistically Directed by Jennifer Jancuska (resident choreographer of "Hamilton"); Associate Director and creator at Moira Dance Theatre (co-founder). Additional experience includes: Production Manager, touring and domestic with the Martha Graham Dance Company; Designer at The Joyce Theater (Richard Move's "Achilles Heels," which featured Debbie Harry); Props Design at Lincoln Center's Clark Studio Theater; Site Manager at Louis Vuitton Museum; Production Manager at Cape Dance Festival.
Current projects include: Lyricist and Book Writer of a new musical currently in development, scheduled for first showing in Lake Hughes, CA in April 2020.
