Laura Zlatos is an award-winning, Brooklyn-based playwright. Her plays have been developed or produced in New York at 59E59 Theaters, the Signature Theatre, Gene Frankel Theatre, HERE Arts Center, The Flea Theater, and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. Regionally, her work has been produced in New Orleans, Colorado Springs, and Bloomington, IN, and internationally, her work has been produced at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She was a winner of the Woodward/Newman Drama Award and the Chameleon Theater Circle's New Play Contest. Her work has been featured in the New York Times and The Advocate, and her short play was published in the Reproductive Freedom Festival Plays anthology on Indie Theater Now and the proceeds were donated to a nonprofit engaged in women’s rights.
Laura received an MFA in Playwriting from Columbia University, an MA in Performance Studies from NYU, and a BFA in Dramatic Writing and Gender and Sexuality Studies from NYU.
