FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. How do I submit my script to Parity Productions?
We accept scripts during active submission periods via a form on our website.
Check out our script submission policy and information about The Annual Parity Commission for Women and Transgender Playwrights here.
2. I want to get involved. What do I do?
See our internship page and our connect page if you have further questions. If you'd like to volunteer, we work with people in events, legal, and administrative capacities. Volunteers get tickets to our shows and readings as well as ticket offers that we receive from other companies.
3. How can I be included in your database?
The Women and Transgender Artists Database, our one-of-a-kind free service for the theatre industry, contains a large range of experienced professionals. To be part of it, you must have worked on at least one professional production in New York City. You can submit your information here.
4. How do I get my show listed in your Qualifying Productions Directory?
At Parity Productions, we fill at least 50% of the creative roles (playwrights, directors, and designers) on each of our productions with women and/or TGNC artists. And we provide extensive and free promotional support to other theatre companies that meet the 50% hiring standard in the form of social media, e-blasts, PR support, and placement in our online directory of Qualifying Productions.
To be listed on our Qualifying Productions page, your show must meet three criteria. It must be a full production (with at least one designer distinct from the playwright/director) that has at least six performances in a New York City venue. And 50% of the creative roles on the production—playwrights, directors, and designers—must be filled by women and/or TGNC artists.
