Amanda Cook – dIrector, Movement Designer
Amanda is a Brooklyn-based actor, writer, and model. Amanda’s work focuses on challenging the norms in theater and film in relation to gender and sexuality. Her work is bold, delicate, and sometimes can cause episodes of extreme giggling.
Originally from Chicago, Amanda moved to Los Angeles in 2014 to study theatre and film at the University of Southern California. In 2016, Amanda studied theater in the conservatory program at the British American Drama Academy in London.
As a founding company member of the Unit 14 Theater Company in Chicago, IL, Amanda has gained select acting credits including: Grounded (Pilot), Red (Mark Rothko), and The Watson Intelligence (Eliza). Her work with Unit 14 has been featured in the Chicago Sun-Times, The Chicago Tribune, and The Highland Park Landmark.
Exciting credits: Over 7.8 million views on Buzzfeed’s Expensive Vs. Bargain Full-Coverage Concealer, Associate Artist with New York’s Muse Project (Fall, 2018), working as an Assistant Director on Pocket Universe’s Juliet + Romeo (Feb. 2019) which was featured on Playbill.com.
